The site at Místico Beach presented both environmental and experiential challenges.

The humid tropical climate, solar exposure, and natural vegetation required a design that could balance comfort, sustainability, and connection to the outdoors.

At the same time, the family sought a home that could accommodate diverse lifestyles and routines — spaces for gathering, wellness, hobbies, and privacy — without losing cohesion or connection.

The challenge was to create a home that could embrace nature while supporting the complexity of family life.

Casa GC was designed as a sequence of connected experiences:

• Multiple social areas balancing quiet and active gathering

• Outdoor terraces extending private bedrooms into nature

• Dedicated spaces for exercise, meditation, and hobbies

• Elevated construction for natural cooling and ventilation

• Shaded patios and landscape integration to regulate climate

• Cross-ventilation and orientation strategies responding to sun and wind
